Yes I had thought that you could just hold it on the floor with your foot and slice it (the lime, not your foot)... you'd only have to be moderately dexterous and bare-footed to make it work. Trouble is you'd need a very clean floor...

SW: "Before you go to work could you wash the floor please?"
Mr SW: "The floor, why?"
SW: "Well I might feel like a gin and tonic or two later."
