Hello Almeria-winners!
All of you will get your best record, because here it is cold. The Spanish, we even do not remember how snow looks like...
Sweder, do not worry at all, without wife, Andy will become a naugty boy as well. You are not aloneBig Grin
Good running to everybody!
have a ball at the weekend, wish I was coming too, :-( I'm good at "naughty"Wink
Hmm, I'm begining to wonder if Ana's not related in some way to Will Shakespeare . . . Confused Big Grin
Well, you shouldn´t forget your umbrellas or raincoats. It´s been raining here since 7 pm although not cats and dogs.

Have a safe journey!

Antonio

PS. You should come more often. We need rain and when the weather learns that you´re coming, the rain, snow etc appear. Let´s hope that it doesn´t rain at the race.
The BBC are being a little more pessimistic than yesterday...

Don't want rain again Eek
Good grief!
Are you sure you punched in 'Almería' and not 'Manchester' Andy?
Oh well. With all that bad weather we'd be best advised to take shelter . . .

Dear Sweder,
Stratford upon Avon blood running through my veins? Oh, là, là… It sounds to me a little bit ironic… but I must forgive you because 1. I am not able of understand everythingWink, and 2. I am so a nice person… Smile

Be careful anyway, I am so crazy naughty Cool when I get angry…

OK, enjoy a lot and get your best race and rehydratation, you and Andy, Antonio, and the others…

Ah . . . you like Alanis Morissette I think, n'est pas?

Ana Wrote:Be careful anyway, I am so crazy naughty Cool when I get angry…
Naughty is good, Ana. I am one of the naughty boys, after all Wink

Ana Wrote:OK, enjoy a lot and get your best race and rehydratation, you and Andy, Antonio, and the others…
Thank you Ana.
I'm certain Antonio will take good care of us.
We will raise a glass of Guinness to your good health on Sunday evening Smile
Right, I'm off. Just heard that the M4 is closed, so the journey to Sussex may be interesting.

I meant to post my entry about running in Bracknell, and complaining that I'm seriously unprepared for this race, but I didn't, so you'll never know. Not till Sunday afternoon, anyway. :o

See you guys tomorrow.
Have a safe trip, amigos!

See you in a few hours!

You caught me! Big Grin But you haven’t found out the second plagiarism, Robby Williams…
Ok, we are really expecting all yours reports…Eek
I had a wonderful birthday party on Saturday as well. Sunday, during your race, I was obliged to sleep a lot… but dreaming “Chariots of Fire”…
How did it go Guys?? Was thinking about you all. Hope you had a blast and all got PB'sSmile
Just a few words to say that we all finished the race. The day was cloudy but it did not rain. Sweder got a PB. I couldn´t do it under two hours but nearly, 2 hours 2 minutes 27 seconds according to my watch. We´ve been so busy that we couldn´t write anything.

I´m just off to have the last drink with them since they´re leaving tomorrow.

Happy birthday, Ana!

We missed all of you!

Saludos desde Almería.

Antonio
Hi Guys

Sorry I missed you all after the race, congrats to you all, I was doing great until the last 2/3 k's then it felt like a big bloke had jumped on my back. Looking forward to your post race stories.

That must be the most concise race report we've ever had on here Big Grin

Good to meet you, Paul. We were v impressed by your time -- 1:32, I think? Excellent, well done. I hope we'll see you there next year.

I heard you asking Antonio if there were any races in May. Did you manage to track one down?

BTW, what's your wife's name? I mentioned meeting you in my race report but I didn't discover her name. I'll update when I know.
andy Wrote:I heard you asking Antonio if there were any races in May. Did you manage to track one down?
I'm keen to learn if there are any races in May, too.
I find I may have the opportunity to visit that part of the world during that month, though I'm worried it might be a bit too hot for a lard-bucket.

Well done Paul - it's great to have a real runner in our pack. Sorry you couldn't hang around but hopefully we'll get a chance to sup ale with you another time.
I´ve just remembered a race in the province of Almería, not far from where PaulK lives, which is in the month of May. I paste some information I´ve translated into English. Por favor, Nigel, correct any mistakes you find so that it sounds good English.

I think that you would enjoy it, SW, since it is steep and in the mountains and with a very nice atmosphere. It would be great if you as well as any other forumites could come since you could also go for a swim.

I mentioned PaulK in a e-mail two half marathons in the province of Albacete, around 350 kms from Almería. Albacete half and Almansa half. They both are well organised although I prefer Almansa because it is smaller and the atmosphere and the goodie bag is great. Besides, the fee goes to an association for mentally handicapped children. The former is on Sunday 13th May and the latter is on Saturday 19th May.

Good news, Antonio. I won't be able to go myself, but good to know that there are some races in May for the hard-core devotees. Would be a bit hot I suspect? Sweder may be mad enough.
Mostly Antonio's, but some of mine:
