RE: February
Yeh, break out the new Asics, I've just donned a new pair of Kyanos too. Think they may stay in pristine condition too :-(
Phew this is hard work !

I might be joining you on the crocks' couch. Feeling a bit fluey today (which might explain the laboured performance on my long run). Another "extreme stepback" week could be in the offing.

Just getting my excuses in early. Wink

Fingers crossed for you MD. The bug currently inhabiting my upper respiratory tract shows no signs of an early departure. I may have to start playing Sinatra records. Or, better yet ...

Oh my lordy. The most pointless cover of a one-riff song since the unplugged version of Layla.

I'm feeling a bit better today after a good night's sleep. Hopefully it was a near miss. I'll probably take it easy and see if I'm up to the step-back long run on Sunday, or drop it altogether. No margin for error at this stage of proceedings.

I hope you're released from the shackles soon. You must be champing at the bit as the weather improves. Some great sunrises out there I should imagine.

I rather liked it! At my age, you start to appreciate a really good melody....Whoo

Good point. But the problem is timing. Item 1 on my marathon manifesto is that training shall not be done during family time. Which during the marathon season means in the dark. I've never tried running with a head torch; sadly I suspect that nearing the peak point of a marathon campaign isn't the best time to try (not to mention the time needed to find good routes).

But come the summer I think I should abandon my familar pavement circuits and head for the trails. That will tie in nicely with my thoughts of trying to ditch the cushioned shoes.
