Warning

I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close call yesterday evening.

I walked into B&Q and some old guy dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that.

Those less suspecting might not be so lucky Big Grin

Crikey SP! I think you'll find the poor fellow was only offering you timber flooring! I hope the chap is OK and you didn't damage the hand you use for tennis . . .

I agree with Sweder. I think you may have misunderstood the fellow.

Why not pop back tomorrow with a nice bottle of wine for him?

Took me a while to realise what you lot were on about... the weird thing is, if Hicks had been arrested in Australia, they could have only held him 3 days without charging him (and they had to introduce special legislation to allow even that much). But the Americans (God bless 'em, saviours of the world that they are) can hold him for 5 years. And until he was arrested, he'd never even set foot on American soil Confused

Excuse me while I go and burn a flag somewhere.
Run. Just run.

FIVE RULES FOR A HAPPY LIFE

1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, is a good cook, cleans and has a well paid job.

2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh and laughs at your jokes.

3. It's important to have a woman who you can trust and who doesn't lie to you.

4. It's important to have a woman who is superb in bed and who likes to be with you.

5. It's very, very important that these four women do not know each other

The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph
