I'm interested in that Calar Alto race Antonio. I mentioned that "puerto de montaña" a while back on one of Sweder's threads. I think it's one of the 5 highest "proper" mountain passes in Spain. Morredero-Alto de Portillanes near Ponferrada is one of the others. There are very few passes with a tarmac surface that go over 2000m.

Hope that you do manage to run this race and are able to tell us all about it.
