A few things to consider:
- Walkers can't run (you could be be disqualified if caught), but runners can walk.
- Walkers start an hour (7 a.m.) earlier than the runners.
- The cut-off time for runners is 3h 20m - still do-able if you walk, but it's a fast, tough walk. Walkers get 4h 20m (easy).
- You have to make your decision by Sept 19!
You'd certainly be able to run the first 10km I would think, which is not that steep, and walk the rest if necessary. Many others do that, so you wouldn't be alone, or in danger of missing the cut-off. That'd be my suggestion - enter as a runner and plan to run at least the first 10km which is not nearly so steep as the rest of the race.
Cheers! This is going to be great!
