What can i say , i don,t do hot.Due to the high temperatures i jiggled my target time down from 3 hours to 3.15.It was all going so well up until 30k ,i was 3 minutes ahead of the 3.15 baloons when a wheel rolled off the side of the road, it was one of mine Eek over the next 12k all the other wheels followed with some really vicious attacks from my old friend Mr Cramp .I made it home in 3.36. That said i think Paris is the best marathon i have run and it was great to have so many from Brighton taking part,Dill, Ben, Pete, Chrissy Boy, Elenour, Sarah, Sonia and Jude who much to her annoyance was carted of to hospital with 4k to go after falling.
Hope to see a few of the J SJ ers at Heist on Sunday night.

A hearty well done to the Paris runners.

All those winter slogs in the p*&^ing rain, hail, etc.

What do you get for your troubles - heat and lots of it.

I know of some pro's that dropped out - at least you soldiered on to the finish.

A fantastic effort Stevio, look forward to hearing about it on Sunday.

Did people hear about the Rotterdam Marathon?

In unseasonably hot weather, the race was actually abandoned a couple of hours into it because so many people were keeling over with heatstroke and dehydration.

Bizarre. Not to mention annoying if you were halfway round.

Apparently this happened at the Two Oceans a few years back, and in the Two Oceans Cycle Marathon in 2004.
Cycle Marathon?
That's just cheating
