2008 London Marathon Places - Grooms-Shaftesbury - 14-01-2008

Want to run in the 2008 Flora London Marathon?

We are Grooms-Shaftesbury, one of the UK’s biggest disability Charities.

We are one of the few remaining Charities who still have Golden Bond Places still available for the 2008 Flora London Marathon.

We support thousands of disabled people though our schools and colleges, care homes and accessible hotels.
Your race sponsorship will help us to bring independence and choice to more disabled people and speak out against the injustices they face.

For more information, please contact Yvette by email on events@grooms-shaftesbury.org.uk, or call 0207 452 2115

While we are on the topic, we have charity places available too, at Save the Rhino International. We are a conservation charity that deals with all kind of ecosystem and biodiversity issues; we don't do exactly what is says on the tin. We do much much more.

And we are looking for a few more people to complete our team. Call 020 7357 7474 and ask for Hannah if you are interested- we don'thave a huge sponsorship target, we are a small office and really friendly- and we really need your help.

To add to this topic and to minimise clutter in this forum, MACS ( Micro and Anophthalmic Children's Society) also has places available for the London Marathon 2008.

We are looking for runners who would be happy to commit to raise a minimum sponsorship of £950, which will in turn help our small charity to continue to support children and families born without eyes or with partially developed eyes. For more information please visit us at http://www.macs.org.uk or call Martin on 01908 672163

Good luck to all in your quest to find runners to support your worthy causes.

My chosen charity (JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is fortunate enough to have filled all their 2008 GB places. We still get enquiries so I'll ask my colleagues there to suggest contacting you.
