I'm sure the off-road runs are doing you a world of good physically. But they sound too interesting for road marathon training! As you say, time for some long, slow hours on the tready. Mental preparation for the long slog.

Wise words there, Dan. Marathon prep is as much about the mental game as the physical one, for sure. At least during the race there are fellow sufferers to talk to which distract you from the torment, but you can't rely on it. Hours on the treadmill prepares you for the worst...

Hardly a glowing endorsement of our sport, is it?
