RE: Season 2016 - Bierzo Baggie - 27-11-2016

Signed off the season with a whimper thanks to my groaning groin.

This meant I missed the inaugural Villablino 10k trail race which I had signed up for and  the traditional Dragoman uphill-only event which I hadn’t. The Dragoman was today and I probably could have done it as it seems to be the downhill running that hurts. But I knew in my heart of hearts that any  re-encounter with the man in the rabbit costume could only end in more pain.

I think I made the right decision.

Not seeing the pic BB?

I decided to give up stuff like 5-a-side and squash about 8 years ago but I can understand the temptation to get back into it. I used to love a game of footy.

I think it partly depends on the other players. I used to steer clear of people who took it too seriously or played dirty. I wouldn't bother to stretch before a run but I think a long warm-up and stretching is important before footy as you get older.

You've been busy of late which is good to see.
