Congratulations on the running diaries, MLCMM! It's wonderful that from this forum someone has managed to publish a book on running.

I've also joined the 100 mile challenge. This morning I did five kilometres so I have filled my first three miles. By the way, it's been my first run this summer, I went along the sea front at seven am. It was quite pleasant but slower than usual because I had had some discomfort in my left calf and knee for three months but I'm glad I've managed to go plodding since last month.

Saludos desde Almería

100 day challenge update.

Well, here we are at day 10 ... already one tenth of the way through the program. Progress has been most excellent - I'm running the majority of these outings at 5 a.m. and, though I scarcely believe it myself, I am greatly enjoying them. I am definitely feeling the benefits, which are probably as much mental as physical - but whatever, they really are doing me a power of good. I am therefore determined to continue for the foreseeable time with these short, daily outings. What comes of them we shall see. Maybe a switch to a more typical race-training program, maybe not. It hardly matters. The main thing is they are  just what I need at the moment and I feel so much better for getting out there, albeit for only a few minutes at a time. So very much better than no run at all! On on!

Impressive streaking, MLCMM. How long can you keep it up?
