Welcome to The Moyleman - Sweder - 08-04-2014

This is a forum for runners, volunteers and planners to discuss various aspects of the The Moyleman: the Lewes Marathon. In order to post here you will first need to register. There is no fee for this, and you will receive no sp@m, no barrage of advertising or relentless e-mail updates (unless you request the latter). Huge thanks to our host, El Gordo, for setting this up.

A test event was held on Sunday 16th March 2014.
The race made it's debut in full on Sunday 15th March 2015.
The next edition will be held on Sunday 18th March 2018.

The organisers welcome all views on the basis that they are respectfully expressed and that, whilst all opinions may be valid, they are under no obligation to take them forward, no matter how vehemently expressed. Abusive or ugly behaviour will meet with short shrift.

Our objectives are simple: to host an offroad running event for lovers of offroad running. To leave only footprints and honest sweat, to take only memories and the occasional photo. And to honour our friend and the inspiration for this race, Chris Moyle. If you'd like to know more about Chris you can read his running diaries here.

Hello old friends. It’s been a while.
It’s Moyleman weekend - the race is on Sunday 17th March (St Patrick’s Day).

If you’d like to follow our progress through set up and the race itself, we’re on Instagram
@the_moyleman and X (the artists formerly known as Twitter) and Fleecebook. There will be posts a-plenty on all.

Lots of love, Ash x
