Aldi running gear - Thurs 15 October - El Gordo - 12-10-2009

Cheap running gear at Aldi again this Thursday: http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/Offers_week42Thursday09.htm

For anyone who hasn't bought from there before, it tends to be decent quality and very well-priced.

Just checked this link out and yes the gear looks very good and so cheap. I don't really need anything but am very tempted to go down and take a look. Might buy a running jacket for the winter marathon training and a base layer or two.

Bought a running jacket for cycling to work in the dark. Also bought some running underwear, never had specific running underwear before (except for sports bras of course), I'm sure it will make me run faster/longer ;-) Just wish they did some more of the thin twin skinned socks that they sold about 5 years ago, they were even better than Hilly twin skins.

Eeeek! Twins!

My wife tells me that this is what ladies cry when they find themselves wearing the same thing. Is this widespread?

So anyway, I also bought a running jacket -- nice thick one for about £15. Would have bought two but there was only one left.

And... I also invested in what SW indelicately calls "running underwear" but which I think we are supposed to call "base layers". But yes, running underwear really. Looks like it will do the job on an icy day.

I too bought a running jacket - £15 and it's very warm and supposedly waterproof. I thought that it was brilliant quality for the money and quite stylish and well made (Black and Pink). It also looks ideal to wear on the bike to keep warm and dry in the winter - only downside is it's black.

Also got a couple of long sleeved tops (not base layers) and they only cost me £7.99 each.

What a bargain Big GrinBig Grin

Hi All - Jut joined the RC site.
What great bargains!! - not only that, but you can get your running gear, and finish of the purchase with some mini poppadums and some Cobra beer Smile

Hi Andyp -- welcome to the small-but-perfectly-formed RC forum.

Poppadoms and beer? Oh god, stop it. It's taken all my strength of will (and there isn't much of that) to stay out of the pub tonight. I've been under the weather today and considered taking the weekend off. But so far, so good.

I've still not tried out my latest Aldi gear. I mainly stocked up with warm wintry stuff, and it's been too darn nice out there recently.
