Well I've got a FLM place I can't defer, I can still run about 3 miles with relative ease, even if I have to walk the rest of the way I won't be last, so why not?

I'll be there on the start line and take it from there.
Now that's what I call a good atitude....you've got nothing to lose (except perhaps the skin from your toesWink )

If running be the food of love,
Plod on!
Look out Haile - the field is back to full strength.

That's certainly one way of avoiding all the pain of training...

Hurrah for SP - once more into the breach, I say. And steady as he goes.
That´s wonderful, Andy. Best of luck. Get a bicycle, just in case ... Smile

Yep, now that you're on the correct last-minute training program (i.e. Guinness Foreign Extra), you should be fine. Sweder can hand you one at mile 22 to get you across the line in style. No luck needed!
I came across an interesting quote today:

'Ever notice that "What the hell" is always the right decision ?'

- Marilyn Monroe.
A nice line, but things didn't work out too well for her. Sad
Whats up Mr Slim?
Are you up for a bit of warm weather plodding these days or have you hung your boots up fer good?
Is he back from his golf trip? I think you'll find SP has been doggedly sprinting round Brighton for the last week or two, preparing to amaze us all at the Seaford Half. That's what he reckoned when I last saw him. Mind you, he'd sunk a few pints when that promise emerged, so....

Er, actually he still hasn't finished FLM yet... he was last spotted at mile 20 ducking into the pub for a quick, um, refreshment.
To quote the bard (where is he, by the way??)...

Wherefore art thou, Seafront P?
Well, as of right now he's in Belgium on a Golf Society Tour.
7-irons and Duvel all round . . .

He seems to be anywhere but here Sad

Whatever could entice him back Confused (other than a few Duvels and a round of golf that is.)
