It's the sight of Ray Wilkins applauding him afterwards that really raises a smile. You can't take the man out of Millwall...

Like Boris (hopeless politician, no track record of success, dubiously inconsistant views) or loathe him (er, as mentioned before, with a shedload of infidelity thrown in), you can't deny he steals the scene with the very , very best of them...
Try as I might, and despite his impeccable credentials (Tory, Spectator employee, snobby Henleyite, old Etonian etc), I just can't dislike the bloke. He has that rare ability to appear like a total clown while being anything but.
