It's taken me about 2 years of collecting (or rather not spending) 5p and 10p peices, (as Sweder will attest Rolleyes ), but my pub-size gallon vodka bottle is finally full.

I assume you will all be suitably underwhelmed. But, I will give £25 to the (UK) charity of choice of the person who guesses closest to how much this is.
£43.10, forsooth.
£250.05
65 Squid old boy - good on yer
Post to keep this on main page (sorry, just posted on the world cup bit without thinking) :o
£124.85 (approx.) = still some left for Guinness ...
£75... tempting though it was to suggest £250 (just to annoy Andy)...no,
I'll go for £75.
But c'mon guys.

The Bard has yet to get to grips with decimal coinage, and one can forgive MLC as he's hardly that familiar with the currency, but for my sake, I hope, with one exception Smile that you are all far too low.

Get a pint glass out, (go on do it!!), then imagine £1 in 10p's and same in 5p's. Then you get an idea how many coins would be necessary to fill that pint glass....then multiply by 8.

Revised guesses are allowed Wink I have an idea how much I'm expecting, and I flippin' well hope I'm more in the ballpark than most of your guesses as I didn't squirrel away silver coins for two years for a measly £100
You're right SP.
I was in the deep haze of a drug-fuelled session when I made my paltry guess. Now the fog has cleared and the last of the uppers has kicked in I'd like to revise my estimate based on a more scientific approach.

OK, final estimate, and this one counts:

£ 564.50
Oh, er, um, gee...

£130??
£319.85
Ay me! I fell; and yet do question make
What I should do again for such a sake...

Therefore,

£143
What the hell is a gallon anyway? Sounds suspiciously American Sad

[patronisinganaussiemode] In an earlier post in this thread, I let slip that one should imagine the cash in a pint glass, and multiply by eight.

My apologies if the hint wasn't obvious enough. Rolleyes [/patronisinganaussiemode]

I've followed Erasmus from Rotterdam to Amsterdam today and remarkably my mathematical haze has lifted. Strange as that seems.

£ 623.47 - and I'm not quite sure why you did put that last 2p in, but it must have been a particularly heavy Guinness evening ...

Bit miffed because it isn't as much as I'd hoped. Ho hum. Still, the actual amount is........

drum roll........

Tense isn't it?.....

£213.70.

Which makes Andy's guess the closest. Smile

Name your charity big fellah.
Hurrah!!

Now then, is Oddbins a registered charity.....?

Oh. Sad

I guess it has to be the JDRF then. I'm sure Sweder can deal with the admin. On their behalf, thank you.
