Depending on your viewpoint Scientology is a bonkers cult or a way of life. Working as I do in East Grinstead, one-time home to L. Ron Hubbard and still home of the Church of Scientology in the UK, I keep my council on such matters.

This got widespread and repeated runs over here. Not so much for the scientology connection, but because it was the BBC guy who lost it. One of the few news reports I've seen recently that stopped people in their tracks, including me.

I don't know much about this Sweeney fellow, but I did catchthe last 10 minutes of the program including the shouting incident. It seemed like a perfectly natural response. If I saw him in a pub I'd buy him a pint. And if he'd decked the guy perhaps a knighthood would be in order.
