Anyone fancy 15+ from the Marina this Sunday?Cool
Hi Andy , Paul the Goat and i are up for the snake on Sunday .We are leaving the marina @ 8.30
:RFLMAO: It's L to B bikeathon this weekend!
I will be there for a snake-et on Sunday morning
Cheers
Andy
If the L to B ride is on does that mean Brighton will be a nightmare all Sunday?
I might just do my long one in Horsham if that is the case!Cool
Bikes are no problem provided you cross any junctions of route using traffic lights
Just wondered how bad it would be getting out of Brighton mate?
I might give it a miss and do my longun from Horsham.Wink
Oh, go on then. 8.30 start? How bad can that be? And by midday it'll all be over won't it?

Vis-a-vis the Seven Sisters 9-miler, I've been trying to get hold of the Four Seasons Runners up in Blackheath somewhere who come down each season (strangely enough) to do this wonderful run. They're your archetypal gnarly old runners, resorting to black leather office shoes if they forget their trainers rather than miss out. Soon as I find out when they're next down I'll see if anyone wants to meet up.

Best be off to Sam's for some squeezies...

Oh, anyone thinking of doing the Ultra Downland Challenge on 29th July?
Good to hear from your Remster.
I'd like to have a pop at that Seven Sisters run - especially now I'm going to miss the Jog Shop Jog. Might go for the Challenge as well . . . depends on your approach; are you going for the record or just along for a nice leisurely stroll?

Greetings from Istanbul.
OK, so let's see if this appeals to anyone...fancy doing what those gnarly old devils from Blackheath do each season? It's a 9-miler that starts from the car park at Birling Gap (next to the most astonishingly awful cafe ever to exist) and goes along the 7 sisters before heading inland along the Cuckmere to Exceat bridge and then loops through Friston forest to East Dean and back down to Birling Gap. Only about 1/2 a mile of road.

If the weather's nice then it's one of those feel good runs, what with the views and the hills and the forest trail. And if the weather's cr*p then it's no worse than anywhere else!

Yeah, I know it's only 9 miles, but it's a lovely run. And if you wanted to increase the distance, you could start from Eastbourne, which adds another 6 miles, and Beachy Head. Bwahahaha.
Remster

When are you planning this for ?

I'm game - see if anybody else fancies it. One of us could drive. Wink

As someone who was once an authority on the Great Greasy Spoon Caffs of Central London, this description has a certain mouth-drying appeal...
Count me in Remster.
I hope this is not next Sunday . . . Istanbul is exacting the heaviest of tolls Eek Eek Eek
Wishing to be inclusive, rather than suggest this Sunday (24th) when some people might still be hovering around the Turkish baths, how about the one after? ie, 1st July.

Happy to share the driving with anyone leaving from Brighton.

And, yes, it's all about a lovely run, but I really must insist on the cafe, which houses one of the best collections of dead and dying pot-plants you'll ever see:RFLMAO:
I have Bewl on the 1st. So will have to be the week after. Wink
