Highlight of the year in sport ...the England football team? ....you're having a laugh  Big Grin

At the weekend, in a respectful, low key fashion very much in line with the minority sport which is fell-running, Kilian Jornet smashed the record which many said would never be broken. Billy Bland was waiting in Keswick High Street to shake Kilians hand and open a bottle of champagne along with a few hundred lucky witnesses to this piece of sporting history. Nobody was trashing ambulances or jumping off double decker buses either. All very civilized.
Nice. Marathontalk reported this week on Nicky Spinks, record-holder (both sexes) for the Double Bob, who has now become the first person to complete a Double Ramsay. https://www.inov-8.com/blog/nicky-spinks...say-round/
Cheers Dan ...equally amazing achievement from Nicky Spinks.

Here's an account from Kilian himself. Interesting to see that Rob Jebb helped pace him. Kilian took 6 or 7 attempts to beat Jebb's record at Zegama. I reckon that if Jebb had attempted the Bob Graham seriously a few years ago (when he was in his prime) he was certainly capable of recording a similar time. We will never know...

A nice audioblog by Tony Audenshaw on MT 445 of his experience of supporting a Bob Graham attempt a couple of weeks after Jornet. Not quite so glamorous... well worth a listen, for a chuckle. Download here https://marathontalk.com/shows/episode-4...-woodward/ and fast forward to 39:55 (12 mins long).
