Bad luck, mate. If it makes you feel any better, there is a school of thought that says that a break in the middle of a training schedule is actually beneficial but obviously too long and it works the other way. I can only hope that you can get back to your earlier excellent progress. I really do feel sorry for you -- much more so than for myself.
I'm in Ireland for a little R and R before deciding my next move. Knee OK, but left toe still throbbing which is a shame: there's a lot of good walking available round here (Co Mayo). Still, as long as I can struggle into the local village for a pint or two of restorative Guinness (the real stuff), life will be tolerable.
