The Moyleman: 2017 Edition
Plans are in place* for the 2017 Moyleman
We have 300 confirmed entrants; 200 full marathon, 50 teams of 2 running half each
Running numbers are being mailed as we speak, to land on doormats w/c 27th February
Finishers' momentos are ordered, caterers & EMS teams booked, entries long closed
*coming together
Brian Courage is running the full distance, OATR is running half as part of a team, as is Moylebird.
CharlieCat, Tom Roper and myself will be herding cats and pulling pints whilst Martin P Porter will join Ollie and Co on the Bike team
Seafront Plodder is in charge of Bag Drop and might lend a hand dishing out ale at the finish.
We have a small but growing army of perfectly-formed marshals.
There's a bespoke coffee wagon at the start and finish, joined at Harveys Yard by a mobile pizza oven and Harveys ale.
CC5, OATR and I are meandering along the second half this Saturday morning (tomorrow ATOP) to check the route.
BTW, very best of luck to our Chief of Marshals, Tom Roper, who is taking on the Brighton Half this weekend.
Tom is running for The Stroke Association. Read his training diary, or cut to the chase and sponsor the man.
All we need now is a fair wind and an absence of torrential rain in the week beforehand and we'll be good to go.
Here are a few links for the curious to enjoy
