Thanks Dan. It was more comfortable than expected, but I mustn't get complacent. I'll facer tougher, more courageous opposition in my pursuit of glory on the Mall next April.

I'll probably pass on Brighton now. Without a quivering SP sobbing in my wake, it wouldn't be the same. But I agree that some alternative is in order. I am not the sort of athlete to shirk a challenge -- unlike some -- so today I have entered a couple of local 10Ks. Details to follow.
