My lovely, talented friend Jackie 'Jax' Chambers has been invited to perform at NAMM 2010 (in the Dean Guitars NAMM JAM) in LA next week. The invitation is prestigeous in the rock world and naturally she's chuffed to bits to be appearing.
Here's a montage (I do love a montage) of Jax doing her day job over the 'best Motorhead song Motorhead never recorded' - Don't Talk To Me featuring Lemmy on vocals and triangle.
The song was recorded in London (main track) and LA (vocals and triangle) using a dodgy mobile connection to communicate with the great Wart in the LA studio. The girls had the title but no lyrics. When Lemmy asked for the words Jax and Kim (McAuliffe), 'somewhat tired and emotional' at that late hour, made 'la-la-la' noises down the phone before exploding into fits of giggles.
'I suppose you want me to write the bloody lyrics as well' came the gravel-voiced reply.
